Who we are

A Singapore-based purpose-driven initiative, Her Rise Above was launched in 2019 to meet a need for 1-to-1 business essential skills training for women who were juggling their home-based businesses with caregiving or health issues.

To date, Her Rise Above has mentored more than 40 women to Rise Above.

The initiative is volunteer led and supported by KRF Ltd, the philanthropic arm of the Kewal Ramani family.

Our Team

Sapna K. Malhotra

Co-founder

Sapna Kewalramani Malhotra is the Director of Philanthropy at KRF Ltd. Sapna worked in the public service in Singapore before moving to the non-profit sector. As a new mother, Sapna ran a small home business in personalised stationery and experienced the challenges of solopreneurs who have to wear many different hats. She realised that networks and resources were key to growth - and not all women have access to the same opportunities.

A strong believer that women are catalysts for the wellbeing and progress of their families and communities, Sapna feels privileged to journey with Risers towards increased confidence and income.

Dimple Sanghi

Co-Founder

Dimple Sanghi is a Director at RiseAbove Pte. Ltd, advising the Family Office for investing in various asset classes across the world. Dimple has been an Investment Banker and Private Equity Investor for over 25 years. Dimple has also been an Impact Investor with Omidyar Networks where she made significant investments in the Financial Inclusion & Education sector.

She strongly believes in giving an opportunity to women who want to hone their skills to make a successful venture which can eventually contribute to the family income. She has dreams that the next home grown successful business in Singapore will be by a Riser from Her Rise Above.

Soledad Lencioni Taylor

Strategy & Marketing Specialist

Soledad is a brand and marketing strategist with over 15 years of experience in building and growing brands. She has worked with multiple fortune 500 to improve their product offering, helped brands define their purpose and developed the advertising strategy for global brands.

One of her proudest moments was a gender equality campaign for SC Johnson. She believes there is a lot of untapped potential in women in the entrepreneurial space and wants to put all her experience at their service to help unleash women’s potential.
