Elena joined the Rise & Thrive team in 2023, driven by a deep commitment to supporting women facing economic and caregiving challenges.

Her passion for women’s empowerment was inspired by her grandmother — a widow who single-handedly raised four children while juggling multiple jobs. Hearing stories of those struggles shaped Elena’s desire to help women access opportunities for growth and self-reliance.

With a background in social work and the social sciences, Elena has seen firsthand how limited access to education, income, and support can constrain potential.

At Rise & Thrive, she ensures that every Riser begins their journey with a strong foundation — guiding participants through onboarding, preparing them for mentorship, and tracking their progress to help them make the most of the opportunities available.

What inspires her most is witnessing transformation — when a woman gains confidence, builds her business, and recognises that this path can lead to independence and balance between livelihood and family.
