Meet Elaine
Senior Manager, Program and Grants
Hi! I’m Elaine Juan. I’ve spent over a decade in the social impact space, working closely with women and families from diverse backgrounds to help them find stability through education, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. My path has been shaped by personal experience. I was born and raised in the Philippines, and moved to Singapore at age 10. Both places are home to me. Growing up between them gave me a deep appreciation for diverse communities and the barriers they face. I’ve seen how a lack of opportunity can hold people back, but also how access and support can transform lives. That belief has guided my work across different organisations including SCWO and Aidha. I’m also a trained counsellor and my time in crisis shelters showed me firsthand how self-sufficiency and economic empowerment can restore confidence and dignity. These experiences continue to shape how I work today. At Rise & Thrive, I lead program design and strategy, while also building an ecosystem of support around the communities we serve. My role includes putting in robust structure, impact measures framework for the programs and bringing together mentors, volunteers, community partners, and funders so we can create the right conditions for the org to grow and the women to rise on their own terms.
